Welcome to Edmonson Elementary School! 

Our mission at Edmonson is that we are “Educating Every Student...We’ll Do What It Takes.” This mission is an essential part of our school and what we believe in as a staff. We plan to make sure that your child is safe and receiving a high quality education on a daily basis. We are proud to be designated as a Reward School by MI Schools Data, Michigan’s official education data source. Reward Schools are in the 5% of the Top-to-Bottom ranking or are designated as a “Beating the Odds” school.  Edmonson earned the designation as a Reward School by Beating the Odds, which means that we are outperforming schools with similar risk factors and demographic makeup.  Our students’ success is due in large part to our outstanding staff and our dedicated parents who serve our school family by providing engaging and joyful learning experiences. 

In addition to our academics, we believe in developing the social-emotional skills in our students. We use the Leader in Me program, based on The 7 Habits of Happy Kids by Sean Covey to foster leadership, academic success, and emotional wellbeing in our students.  We were recognized as Lighthouse School by Franklin Covey, which means that we received an honor that is only given to schools that have implemented the Leader in Me process with fidelity and excellence.
